To cope with the increasing desire of citizens for sports facilities due to the activation of daily exercises, a variety of sports facilities were installed in Hwangryeongsan Leports Park. The table below shows the sports facilities built in Hwangryeongsan Leports Park.

Hwangryeongsan Leports Park was built with a budget of 1.8 billion KRW in 1993. Since then, the soccer field, gateball court, a variety of fitness rooms, and convenience facilities were built. In particular, the construction of Busanjin-gu Lifelong Sports Center, the general sports facility, was started with an additional budget of one billion KRW at the end of 2004 and was completed in 2006. Hwangryeongsan Leports Park became the multi-purpose sports park of Busanjin-gu.

Busan Jin-gu Public Sport Center

Under the slogan ‘Public Sports Center in Nature’, this public sports center construction started on Hwangryeongsan Mountain in Jeonpo-dong in 2015. With the project costing about 11.4 billion KRW, the public sports center was designed after conducting a design contest. Since the completion of construction, the public sports center boasts a magnificent appearance harmonized with nature.

Since its opening in Sep. 2017, about 21,600 members registered and are using the facilities. Including hosting a variety of sports events, this public sports center is playing its role as the leading sports facility in Busanjin-gu.

Choyeon Neighborhood Park Gymnasium

The gymnasium in Choyeon Neighborhood Park in Choeup-dong was constructed during the ‘Choyeon Neighborhood Park Construction Project’. ‘Choyeon Neighborhood Park Construction Project’ was implemented by the Busan construction headquarters. The construction was completed in Feb. 2017 and its administration was transferred to Busanjin-gu in May of the same year. The gymnasium opened in Mar. 2018 after supplementary construction work.

This gymnasium operates a variety of very popular lifelong sports classes including badminton and table tennis as well as well-being classes including Yoga and Pilates. In particular, this gymnasium downtown is favored by citizens because of superior accessibility.
